The National Unity Government (NUG) of Myanmar is preparing for leadership reforms within its ministries to strengthen revolutionary efforts. Interim President Duwa Lashi La made this announcement during his New Year’s address, emphasizing the government’s commitment to prioritizing the people’s needs over retaining power.

In his address, the Interim President reaffirmed the NUG’s dedication to revolutionary responsibilities entrusted by the people, clarifying that the current government does not intend to cling to positions or expand its role unnecessarily. Instead, he expressed openness to new leaders who can take on broader responsibilities and lead the revolution more effectively.

“We need leaders who can lead more broadly than the current government. If there are individuals capable of assuming these roles, we are ready to step aside and support them. Our doors are always open to those who can shoulder the revolutionary burdens for the people,” Duwa Lashi La stated.

He extended a warm invitation to capable leaders who share the vision of advancing the revolutionary cause and emphasized the importance of inclusive and dynamic leadership in achieving the goals of the movement.

The NUG’s proactive approach to leadership reform and openness to change demonstrate its dedication to serving the people of Myanmar. By encouraging capable leaders to step forward, the government aims to strengthen its capacity to address the challenges faced by the revolution.
