January 10 – The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) has issued a rallying call for all Spring Revolution forces to unite and intensify their struggle against the Myanmar Military Council. The announcement comes amidst the military council’s mounting historical losses and emphasizes the urgency of achieving revolutionary victory.

The declaration was made during the annual meeting of the Palaung State Liberation Front (PSLF/TNLA), held from January 3 to 7, 2025, with the participation of 173 members. During the meeting, the TNLA highlighted the military council’s series of defeats, describing it as an opportune moment for ethnic armed resistance organizations and Spring Revolution forces to collaborate and elevate the revolution to its peak.

As part of its strategy to strengthen its efforts, the TNLA has announced plans to expand its forces into 9 brigades and organize 5 districts encompassing 18 towns. Among these are 12 towns captured during Operation 1027, which the TNLA will now govern. The group has pledged to oversee critical areas such as security, law and order, education, health, and social development within its territories.

In its announcement, the TNLA reiterated its commitment to establishing a people’s government as soon as possible. This government aims to represent the collective will of the people and lay the foundation for long-term peace, stability, and development in the region.
