In a major strategic blow, more than 30 members of the military council, including two senior officers, were reportedly killed in a targeted assault on the Tanyaung Substation located in Salin Township, Magway Division. The attack occurred around 5:00 AM on March 31.

According to local resistance forces, the Tanyaung Substation served as a critical hub for powering anti-aircraft weapon production and bomb manufacturing. It also played a major role in supporting the Air Defense Command Operations Headquarters (ADO) based in Seik Phyu Township.
This high-value military installation was directly linked to the ongoing airstrikes targeting innocent civilians across Myanmar, particularly in areas affected by the recent devastating earthquake. Despite the natural disaster’s destruction, the Burmese military has continued to bomb civilian areas indiscriminately, drawing widespread condemnation.
The Tanyaung Substation Attack is viewed as a significant blow to the military’s airstrike capabilities. Local defense groups stated that the coordinated offensive was designed to cripple the military council’s ability to continue its brutal air campaign.
While the military council has not officially commented on the casualties, sources inside the resistance claim that the attack was highly successful, inflicting heavy losses and damaging key infrastructure.
This strike marks a turning point in efforts to dismantle the military junta’s offensive power, particularly in the skies, where air superiority has been used ruthlessly against civilian populations.
